From "Bourne Identity" to "Born Identity" by Joshua Law

The real meaning of Christmas by Joshua Law

Christmas is a holiday in which we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus. His mission was to save the world from sin, so that the Spirit of God could live (be born again) in those who accepted Him.

One of my most favorite movies is "Bourne Identity". This is the first of four film collections in which a soldier named David Webb, whose born identity was permanently erased by a corrupt government department, using super high technology, to rewrite his identity to become “Bourne Identity,” named Jason Bourne. And then trained, appointed him as a professional assassin, to be used to usurp legislative powers to change society, passing all legal restrictions and procedures.

After a failed assassination attempt, Jason Bourne was accidentally rescued from his programmed Bourne identity. After that, he must rediscover his true born identity again. This proves to be a very difficult process.

In this world, we are created by God in His image, Where we possess the holiness and character of God, having a Godly identity, and living with a Godly image and character in the world.

Unfortunately, like our ancestors, we all have chosen to commit sins and deviate from the holy image of God, depart from our sacred purpose, and character given by God. This false, and sinful identity takes us into a life of confusion, uncertainty, and endless drifting.

In some countries, governments use their political powers to control, reshape its citizen’s identity, and turn them into slaves and controllable instruments.
They use the mass media and the education system to shape the identity of the citizenry, but this shaped identity cannot enrich them. On the contrary, it gives them an empty heart without God.

This heart, can never be satisfied unless they change their minds and return to the embrace of God, and be united with God.

But, fortunately, in our world history, at the right time, a God/man was sent from the Creator God,

his mission was to save us from the power of sin-guilt and the shadow of sin. The identity and responsibilities of His God-Man status are completely clear to Him. He knew why he was born, his purpose in the world was so completely confirmed and powerful, that even facing countless reasons against fulfilling his mission, while having all the powers to deviate from the purpose of his life, he has chosen not to depart from it, even when faced with the cruelest death. He refused to depart from this purpose.

Therefore, he was able to do everything perfectly for the purpose of saving the world, complete the task, and achieved the satisfactory result, that is, to save humanity from the controlling powers of sin and evil.

This God/man from God is Jesus Christ.

Our message to you is, each of us, like our ancestors, has allowed and accepted the false identity from mind programming and reassignment, committed sin and therefore, suffering from guilt, not only did we inherited this sin nature from our parents, we passed the sinful identity and guilty conscience on to our descendants. The result is human death, conflict, suffering and pain. Because of the death of the sinless God-man Jesus Christ on our behalf, justifying all of us in the eye of the holy God, our sin-guilt is removed from our hearts, each one of us can be freed from the sinful mind-set of this world.

Because God, through the sacrifice (death and resurrection) of Jesus Christ, has deemed us all holy before Him, we are all rescued from the false identity programmed in us by sin and its guilt. We can begin to turn around and rewrite our Godly identity, character, through the understanding of God’s Word.

By removing ourselves away from the identity created by family traditions, society, politics, education, and gradually changed into being like Christ through closely following Jesus Christ, putting on Christ, and be born again into a new body, soul, thoughts, attitudes, feelings, and behaviors, we have acquired a Spiritual identity, and thus able to embark on the road to live like Jesus, all the way, enjoying the meaning, grace and power of regeneration.

What does to mean to you?

You can, like all of us, establish a spirit and soul relationship with the God-Man Jesus Christ, be rescued from the false identity the world has programmed in you, and become one with the identity of God-Man Jesus – moving away from the sin-guilt “Bourne Identity” to the “Born in Christ Identity” in which you can experience the truth, the powerful originally intended identity and purpose of life.

You can overcome the world, as you walk with the God-man Jesus Christ! What a glorious live it really is!!!
