Godly Love on Command

Caitlin (my grand daughter) and Ethan, her cousin at my house
I believe God would not command us to do things that we cannot do. Love is giving without demanding a return. God loves us but does not demand us to love Him back. Thus we are free to naturally respond to God's love. God commands us to love one another and love our enemies. He created us to be able to love at will and loving each other will do us good. Plant a seed of love and water it. God will make it grow into a beautiful tree.
Just go ahead and love someone, even an enemy. Able to do it or not is God's business not mine or yours. Our abilities are gifts from God. Don't let your feelings guide you. Try it! But don't go ahead of God. Let Him lead the way. Just do not stab your enemy with your love by acting inappropriately or overdoing it. God will provide the opportunity and you just gently love. In love there is forgiveness and freedom.
